Large and functional spaces that have become obsolete with the progressive transfer of industry out of Madrid´s center, and that today represent an extraordinary opportunity to be recycled as homes, workshops, creation spaces and new contemporary businesses.
The “ÑIT” Apartments for Artists are designed to host creatives who decide to move to this thriving and transforming neighborhood. They are houses to live with art, to develop your own creative world by living a season in Carabanchel, working here, observing everything that happens around you and interacting with other artists, sharing experiences and points of view.
Apartments designed to be both functional and suggestive, where you can stay comfortably in the heart of the neighborhood after a long day creating into spaces suitable for this purpose next to the homes. Work and live in the same spaces, while socializing, relaxing, exchanging opinions with other creative colleagues, and learning from the work of others.
It is actually a recycling project, a new life for an obsolete building where the architects of OOIIO Architecture Team have reorganized and updated some old homes without any type of energy efficiency, very unwelcoming, poorly lit and bad distributed to obtain contemporary apartments, cheerful and colorful directly connected to work spaces and offices.
Living and working in the same place is once again possible in a large city. It is not necessary to travel daily to the workplace, emitting CO2, spending valuable time in your daily life. These interventions create neighborhood and roots, people live and move through these same streets. The inhabitants of these apartments are not only here to sleep, they are now part of the new and vibrant Carabanchel.
