PRIZE. (Spain). OOIIO wins 1st Prize for San Miguel Square Rehabilitation. Talavera de la Reina.
OOIIO Architecture has won the open competition for the San Miguel Square rehabilitation, in Talavera de la Reina, Spain.
OOIIO´s proposal gets to recycle a degraded public space today, working mostly on the vertical planes of the surrounding medians walls that are very presents on this space and make ugly the square today. Leaving then the horizontal plane as simple as possible, changing the traditional way of doing public space interventions. Jesus Reyes, OOIIO´s project architect, collected the first prize in the city of Talavera from the hands of its Mayor, Mr Gonzalo Lago.
